Desktop app · version 0.1.6

ReadyClaw on your Mac, PC or Linux box

Runs quietly in the menu bar or system tray, watches the sessions Claude Code is writing right now, and steps in before context bloat costs you.

Free to install and scan. One-click fixes and the live guard need a Pro key. macOS builds are signed and notarized with Apple; the Windows installer is unsigned for now, so SmartScreen shows a warning once: choose "More info" → "Run anyway". Installed copies update themselves.

Live context in the tray

The tray shows the largest live session's context and what each turn now costs. Glance up before you paste another log.

Notifications before it hurts

The first time a session passes 200k, 400k and 700k tokens you get a notification with the per-turn cost and the fix.

The guard

Three small hooks: a briefing on context hygiene at session start, a nudge to offer /compact or a fresh session once a prompt lands past 200k, and a block on any prompt, command or file write that carries a credential, before it is sent.

Install

  1. macOS

Open the DMG and drag ReadyClaw to Applications. Launch it; it appears in the menu bar. Apple silicon and Intel builds are separate downloads.

  2. Windows

Run the installer; it installs per user in one step and starts ReadyClaw in the system tray.

  3. Linux

Mark the AppImage executable and run it; it starts in the system tray. Works on any recent x64 distribution with a tray (an AppIndicator extension on GNOME).

Then open the window from the tray icon: Overview scans your transcripts locally, Headroom lists the fixes, Live guard turns on the hooks, Account connects your readyclaw.app key for cloud history and digests. Step by step: Get started.

Privacy

The app reads ~/.claude/projects on your machine. It never uploads prompts, code, file paths or tool inputs. With a key connected it uploads per-day totals, per-session totals and the findings, the same as the CLI. Without a key nothing leaves the computer.
